In 2014, Sequoia Price-Lazarus and a small but dedicated team—including Evan Skandalis (VP of Farm Operations), Dylan Summers (VP of Government Affairs) and Ian Tudor (Crystallization Specialist)—set out to try making affordable healthcare and natural medicine more accessible to all by crafting CBD products that were effective and affordable, so everyone could experience its benefits. To ensure quality, potency and consistency, they imagined a “farm-to-front-door” model of transparency—where the company handled each step of the process. We started out selling handcrafted products at local farmers markets, and have now become an established leader in the industry.

Since the beginning, we have dedicated ourselves to making effective, high quality CBD that is affordable. Lazarus Naturals was founded on the belief that CBD has a positive impact on our quality of life, and should be available to everyone regardless of their circumstances. We have strived to maintain an affordable price point and commitment to accessibility with our Assistance Program—which provides a 60% discount to veterans, individuals on long term disability, active military personnel, and low-income households.
TheLazarus Naturals Assistance Programis at the heart of who we are as a company. We are here for all who rely on the benefits of CBD daily—striving to ensure it isn’t cost prohibitive. We firmly believe that everyone should have access to this natural medicine regardless of financial circumstances. To accomplish this, we extend up to 60% off products for veterans, individuals on long term disability, and those living below the poverty line.
At Lazarus Naturals, we prioritize purpose over profits—partnering with non-profit organizations who help communities in need while working to create systemic change. In 2020 we committed to donating $100,000 every year moving forward to social justice causes—including the ACLU Foundation of Oregon, the NAACP, and Dig Deep’s Navajo Water Project.
From our farming practices and production process, to how our products are packaged, we are always seeking environmentally and socially responsible ways of doing business. For example, each order is packed in our facility with materials made from post-consumer waste. Our current goal is to be carbon neutral by 2030—with the long term goal of fully eliminating all non-biodegradable waste and carbon emissions by 2040.
Our mission has always been to make products that improve people’s lives as well as the world around us by operating in a fair, equitable and environmentally sustainable manner. Our efforts to this end have led to us receiving USDA Organic, Leaping Bunny, and B Corp certifications. Lazarus Naturals vows to use business as a force for good, and never put profits over purpose. It's not about being the best in the world—but about doing what's best for the world.
